Yiddish For Kids 1 - AlefBeys

Yiddish For Kids 1 "AlefBeys" is a tool for learning to read and WRITE YIDDISH letters quickly on the iPhone or the iPod touch.
Its intuitive interface combines shape, sound, text and movement to allow everyone to find their own way to learn the AlefBeys.

The "AlefBeys" tab shows the letters in a group or one by one. You can hear their name and their pronunciation IN YIDDISH. The letters are displayed in vivid, attractive colors and you can choose between printed and handwritten shapes.

In the "Training" tab, youll be able to DRAW THE LETTERS (handwritten only, of course) directly on the screen! The software keeps you on the right track and congratulates you when you reach the end. That way youll learn the right gesture... and without wasting paper!

Lastly, the "Song" tab, says the alphabet in a traditional way and helps you memorize it in the right order.
